CHAS Accreditation Achieved
InterCounty Scaffolding has recently been awarded a CHAS accreditation as recognition of its efforts in good health and safety practices.
At InterCounty Scaffolding we place great strategic importance on our commitment to excellent health and safety standards which is central to our marketing proposition.
We recognise that the critical aspect of building a health and safety conscious culture is the training and development of our workforce. That is why we are immensely proud of our CHAS scheme accreditation.
The CHAS scheme was first established with a mission to improve health and safety standards among contractors in the construction sector, to reduce duplicated safety applications for both suppliers and buyers and to introduce a scheme that allowed buyers to compare health and safety standards fairly and consistently.
CHAS is now a highly coveted accreditation and is recognised, industry wide, as the scheme by which more than 400 public and private sector buyer organisations can assess and benchmark:
- Health and safety policy statements.
- Organisational and operational health and safety activities
- Specific health and safety arrangements to a recognised standard.
The award of CHAS accreditation to InterCounty Scaffolding Ltd, comes as a welcome move for our customers. We work very closely with many of the country’s biggest names in construction, and as such, where CHAS accreditation is a key requirement, we are able to meet the needs and requirements of our clients.
Additionally, we are keen to ensure we are continually ahead of the market when it comes to health and safety and safe-working legislation. As a result of the accolade, CHAS gives us a leading edge in the construction industry and brings us in line with our sister company, JWD – also a CHAS scheme accreditation holder.
